Oh my god, that was so well done! It's so fucking dumb, but surprisingly well animated for a bunch of paper taped to some stick

Had a smile on my face the whole time

That's actually not bad for an ai voice. Parts of it still sound off, but I know with a bit more work it could be quite believable

[Which is kinda scary to say ngl]

Ooo, I absolutely adore this style! So vibrant and cool looking!

I'm a bit curious how you did the dotted gradient. I tried doing that myself by adding a ton of little vector circles, but my old laptop didn't like that one bit, and I wasn't able to tweak it as easily.

RE:
Oh...I use Krita.

But it gives me an idea what I should look for in Krita

in photoshop, go to filter > filter gallery > halftone pattern! it uses the two colors you currently have in your color swatch thing!

...I don't get it

Style-wise and animation-wise it's pretty good (though, I'm not a fan of how the human looks), but story-wise I don't get the message. Am I not supposed to chop-down wood when I'm cold in the winter? A little bit of backstory would've helped as to why a demon suddenly emerged from the dude and killed him.

Also, was there really no other way to have told that scene without making it seizure inducing? You could've had it where it starts-out with just the sound before gradually making it so the creature shows-up on screen and pops-out from the guy. That visual effect was completely not needed, and would've made that scene a lot better in my opinion.

All I'll say is, you may be some "world renowned" animator, but your directing skills need a little work my friend.

LeoMC responds:

It is difficult to explain a work that is metaphorical, because each person can have different interpretations.
The monster doesnt emerge from the character, but is the protector of nature.
And the main character vomits souls. This talks about karma.
Anyway, This is actually an experimental short, I did it for fun, I didn't even did a script.
I didn't do it with a traditional production process, so perhaps it would have turned out better if I had done it as it should.
Anyway, thanks for your review, it works for me!

Cute as heck!

This collab was so much fun to work with, and even more fun to chat in the Discord channel

I never really noticed how smooth my animation was until it was plopped in the middle of everyone else's animations. Was probably one of the few people that animated their whole sketch on ones (in Pencil2D no less), and it was all for a stupid joke. It just made the whole thing even funnier for me.

P.S.: Where was the "Fly me to the moon" inspired credits with the tombstones of Buttface Bunny and D-bot @midgetsausage? I was promised this and you didn't deliver!

How could you disrespect these icons! (╥﹏╥)

midgetsausage responds:

I never promised anything fool!!!!! but fr though, I was pretty busy and I forgor to make it, I was hoping Ozone would do it but ig he also forgot too

@midgetsausage
Damn, I guess I should have pestered you a little more often about it. Even still, it's kinda weird to see a collab end without any credits. I see those all the time with re-animated collabs and even stick fight collabs. Doesn't make it bad, but it feels like it ends a little too abruptly

@yixaline
I've got plans to do an art/animation tips and tricks thread one of these days. Could be a goal for next year along with doing more animations.

And enough of that RAT stuff @bobimaster333 ...seriously! I'm a rabbit! RAB-BIT!!!

This one kinda pains me because I like the style, the environments, the story, and the characters, but the animation and sound design is not good at all.

Firstly, sound effects loop too often making them annoying to hear

Secondly, don't abruptly cut the music or sound effects unless it's for dramatic effect. Try to fade them out or smoothly transition between both scenes

And finally, you might need to learn the basics of animation a little. Haven't played around with 3D myself so I don't know how difficult it can be, but tweening between every key pose like that is a one way trip to robo-land.

This reminds me of the cutscenes in BattleBlock Theater...but hornier

ehrrr responds:

Damn that was exactly what I was going for

Animation is good, sound design needs a little work

Zellas responds:

I know! It was hell trying to add the audio in the animation
I swear I will improve in editing lol

I mean...he's not wrong
