Hahaha, I didn't watch Evangelion!

Swag

Beautiful, excellent, wonderful, life changing, Oscar winning, 10 out of 10 performance, best thing on the site, underrated gem, everyone and their grandmas need to see it, and it will make you cry tears of joy!

Models are great! The animations and environments could use some work though.

I haven't touched anything 3D before, so I'm not sure how difficult it is to do smooth 3D animation, but the animation so far looks like something you'd see in a 90s 3D cartoon: slow and stiff (but with really good models).

Some of the environments look like they're missing something, it's hard to explain but it's missing like this sort of secret sauce to make them pop...I don't know.

You look like a great 3D modeller. Keep doing your stuff, experiment a little, examine life, and you'll improve.

First time viewer. Gotta say, I'm already in love with the show.

This is the first time I've seen a video that uses text-to-speech without sounding boring and awkward (apart from the clock crew). It sounds almost natural (as natural as TTS can be), the awkward parts left behind just blends-in with the show's vapoware vibe, and it fits with the characters. Really cool trick!

The animation is smooth all the way and great to watch. The aesthetic of the show is my favourite part. it has the 80-90s vaporware vibe that I see from time to time, but it's subtle. No VHS filter, no vaporwave music blaring everywhere, no wire-frame 3D sunset that I see all the time, and because of that the show can actually age and be a memorable piece to look back.

I just love it!

I like everything about this animation, but I only have one gripe:

Sometimes the animation has a really low frame rate, like Powerpoint levels of low. For background elements like crowds of people I don't mind, for the main character it's a bit distracting, but the flower petals that flow in the wind are really distracting. Especially by the end where you have some smooth animation with the characters mixed with the flower petals going at 1fps.

It's really nitpick-y, but I understand that this is a really low budget animation, and corners need to be cut somewhere.

You know, I thought this would have been another one of those "sexy parodies" I see from time to time with P-Bot, but I'm glad it wasn't.

I like it!

Great little animation! Still haven't had a single thing front paged yet, but I always dream of the day where it will finally happen.

Buster98 responds:

You've got this!

Nice little animation. The character animation did repeat a little too much and I never knew what the guitar strums were synced to, but what's there is still really good and I like the music.

I wasn't expecting a video like this, but it gave me a big-ol' smile on my face the whole way through.

Your animation style is very strange. It's very rough and primitive looking when going frame-by-frame, but the movement is so fluid like it was done professionally. You really know how to stretch those expressions to the point where it really felt like a classic hand animated cartoon!

And unless you were going for this "child crayon drawing" look, I'd suggest playing around with different brushes to see what would fit these characters, and even play around with drawing nature and basic 3D shapes to get those backgrounds looking less flat.

All and all, you've got amazing talent (and I kind of envy you)! Just keep doing what you're doing and you might be unstoppable.

TheJayShow responds:

Yes, it would be good to experiment with different brushes, or just general better line quality. Thanks a ton for your feedback!

I do incredible things that look normal to everyone else.
